The Tactical Assault: Fantasy Cards™ are a new and innovative way to approach your fantasy themed miniature gaming. The Fantasy Cards are designed to bring all the detailed elements of fantasy land warfare – including the fog of war – to the tabletop in a narrative card-driven format that is easy to play yet full of challenges. To be successful, you must be creative in your strategies, flexible in your tactics and attentive to the ever changing battlefield.

The Fantasy Cards can be utilized for just about any fantasy or pre-gunpowder historical setting, for any scale of miniatures, any sized battlefield and for any size of battle – ranging from the smallest skirmish action all the way up to massive army sized endeavors.

Campaigns… Dungeon Delving III

To finish up our articles about running Dungeon Delving Campaigns with the Fantasy Cards, this time we will go into a little more detail about the Endurance Campaign.

The Endurance Campaign is designed to test the staying power of one force (the Heroes) against the staying power of another, almost unlimited, group (the heroes’ Antogonists). The campaign is set up in much the same way as the standard campaign outlined in the Fantasy Cards’ rules, but with a couple of minor changes. (more…)

Campaigns… Dungeon Delving II

Continuing on with our articles about running Dungeon Delving Campaigns with the Fantasy Cards, this time we will go into a little more detail about the Storyline Campaign.

Dungeon delving Storyline Campaigns are pretty much set up in the same campaign format mentioned in the basic rules, with two major differences. The first difference being that one force will not be allowed to change for the duration of the campaign (the Heroes), while the other may change with each battle (the heroes’ Antagonists).  This means that unlike the standard campaign, the Heroes will not be able to spend campaign points between battles to change out units in their force – what they start with is what they finish with. Campaigns… Dungeon Delving

Something we get asked a lot about is the possibility of using the Fantasy Cards for  “dungeon delving”. Mind you we are not talking about true role-playing with individual characters and such, but rather the simple joy of following a band of heroic adventurers as they battle non-stop through a classic underground lair of evil. Can this be replicated in an easy and enjoyable fashion with the Fantasy Cards?  The answer is most definitely yes! (more…)
