TECHNOLOGY CARDS & CAMPAIGN FACTIONS
The Technology Cards can be a great tool for giving each faction in a campaign a unique "flavor" by assigning them certain technological conditions that must always be applied to their units. This flavor becomes especially pronounced if the technological conditions are exclusive to each group, and no other faction can utilize them in the campaign. Of course, faction-based technologies are still limited by the normal restrictions (e.g. some technologies may only be applied to certain unit types, etc.) and will affect each unit's final point value as normal. What makes the assigning of faction-based technologies different though, is that every unit must have it applied if allowed (i.e. it is not an option). If you then combine this use of the Technology Cards with other expansions being used in a similar fashion (e.g. the Personality Cards, etc.) you can create some pretty distinctive opposing sides for your next campaign.
