Battle Report… Al Haddaf

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Well, we have finished our first “official” Battle Report for the Combat Cards – the Battle of Al Haddaf.

It is a modern affair set in a small middle eastern village overrun by a group of brutal insurgents. The villagers have asked for help in clearing the insurgents out of the their village, and the local authorities have sent an American contingent to assist them. Unfortunately, despite a good plan, the mission quickly goes awry for the US forces.

This battle was also an official playtest for a couple of expansions, one of which has not yet been officially announced (though it is not exactly a secret any more…). Everything went very well, and the players had a great time – despite the turn of events…

Read on and enjoy!

Inspiration… Fantasy

Not to forget our Fantasy Cards brethren, here are a few pictures from a recent Fantasy Card playtest battle. A couple of different expansions were being tested during this game which made it really fun and exciting. If you look closely you can even make out a couple of tokens from the playtesting expansions.

With any luck, this battle will be written up as a Battle Report in the near future as well. In the meantime, enjoy!

Unfortunately we have been so busy lately, that we haven’t had much time to post a lot of new information on the site. Well, to prove we are actually hard at work on lots of new stuff, here are some pictures from another recent playtest.

As an added bonus, we will also be writing up this fight up as a more formal battle report of sorts – in part because it is one of the last few scheduled playtests for the Technology Cards, and in part because it was the begining of intensive playtesting for another new expansion previously unannounced.

While we can’t quite formally let the cat out of the bag yet, we will give you a clue as to what it is. For this battle the American forces were split between two players; the insurgents had no players…

Enjoy!
